A Lifelong Calling to Heal

Since childhood, I have been driven by a singular goal: to help people reclaim and maintain their health. This passion eventually led me to a career as a physician, fueled by a deep-seated interest in mental healthcare—an interest born from watching those closest to me navigate serious mental health challenges.

An Ethical Turning Point

My path took a definitive turn early in my medical career. Through direct observation, I began to see the mainstream psychiatric model not as a tool for healing, but as a system of "unjustified social control."

Faced with a profound crisis of conscience, I realized I could no longer endorse or participate in a discipline that I found to be inherently disempowering and, too often, abusive. I chose to leave the mainstream medical establishment behind to advocate for the human rights of patients.

A New Vision: Natural Mental Healthcare

With the rise of the digital age, I saw an opportunity to reach people directly. Through DrHaroldMandel.org and MandelNews.com, I established a Virtual General Practice. My mission is to provide an alternative news service and a medical approach centered on Natural Mental Healthcare—prioritizing the individual's dignity over labels and chemical intervention.

Beyond the Practice

I am a dedicated peace activist with a deep appreciation for Buddhist principles, envisioning a future where peace prevails globally. My interests are as diverse as the world I’ve traveled:

• Global Exploration: I have explored the cultures of Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, Israel, Egypt, and throughout Europe and Southeast Asia.

• The Great Outdoors: I am an avid enthusiast of wildlife and sea life, enjoying everything from SCUBA diving and snorkeling to horseback riding and fishing.

• Personal Interests: I have a passion for sports cars, art, and the companionship of dogs, cats, and tropical fish.

• Forward-Thinking: I maintain a keen interest in modern investments, ranging from conservative annuities to the evolving world of digital assets like Shiba Inu.

My Daily Natural Health Routine

A Philosophy of Vitality

I maintain exceptional health and a youthful spirit through a firm commitment to Natural Healthcare and a dedicated Antipsychiatry perspective on mental wellness. I believe that optimal health is far more than just the absence of illness; it is the pursuit of the highest quality of human experience—balancing the mental, spiritual, physical, environmental, social, and financial aspects of life.

By adhering to a lifestyle of nutrition, movement, and meditation, I have found that biological age can be kept decades younger than chronological age.

Nutrition & Supplementation

My diet focuses on clean, nutrient-dense foods and mindful choices:

  • Primary Proteins: Daily intake of grilled or baked chicken and fish, with very occasional red meat.
  • Whole Foods: Non-fat Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries, a variety of fruits and vegetables, peanuts, mixed nuts, and green olives.
  • Hydration & Teas: A diverse selection including unsweetened vanilla almond and soy milk, Korean ginseng tea, green tea, and pure water.
  • Supplements: Daily multivitamin, Vitamin C, Vitamin B-12, Omega-3, pumpkin seed oil, and garlic.
  • Moderation: Strict limits on sugar and salt; I do not smoke or use illicit drugs, and I rarely use over-the-counter or prescribed medications.

Physical & Mental Wellness

True health requires a synergy between the body and the mind:

  • Movement: Daily stretching and long outdoor walks with my dog, Shrimp. On inclement days, I utilize a treadmill for 30–60 minutes and maintain a regular moderate weight-lifting schedule.
  • Mindfulness: I prioritize daily meditation and spend as much time as possible immersed in nature.
  • Leisure: I find balance by listening to music, watching music videos, and enjoying films.
  • Skin Health: To maintain a youthful appearance and healthy skin, I use CeraVe moisturizing cream, Nivea Shea Nourish, and SPF 70 sunscreen daily.
