About Harold Mandel

When I was a kid I thought it would be really cool to become a physician someday and make a living helping people with their health. I also developed a strong interest in mental healthcare when some people who were close to me experienced serious mental healthcare issues.   

Early in my career as a physician I had a serious falling out with many sectors of the mainstream medical profession when I began to make the observation that psychiatry is a fraud which is being used to harm people. And so I left the mainstream medical profession behind me years ago. Most mainstream doctors endorse psychiatry and I have found again and again psychiatry is a corrupt discipline of unjustified brutal social controls and financial oppression via chronic abuse which actually has nothing to do with mental healthcare. Out of a crises of conscience I could no longer endorse this, let alone practice it. 

I became fascinated with the Internet shortly after it became widely available to the public and with DrHaroldMandel.org and MandelNews.com  I have pursued a Virtual General Practice with a focus on Natural Mental Healthcare and an online alternative news service. Prior to medical school I went to Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania where I majored in Psychology and graduated with honors.  I am licensed to practice medicine by New York State. I am a member of the CCHR (Citizens Commission on Human Rights) and the Medical Reserve Corps in New York state.  I am also very interested in investments. Aside from conservative investments in annuities I have speculated with the purchase of 16 million Shiba Inu. 

I like the outdoors, wildlife, sea life, movies, music, exercise, nutritious food, swimming, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, fishing, sports cars, music, dogs, cats, tropical fish, art, and travel. I have been to Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Canada, Great Britain, France, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Israel, and Egypt. I am a peace activist who likes Buddhism and I envision a day when peace will prevail across the world.
